Priscila Fernandes

Priscila Fernandes, nascida em 1981, Portugal, vive e trabalha em Roterdão, Países Baixos.
A sua obra está enraizada numa pesquisa contínua sobre educação, o jogo, e a dialética entre o trabalho e o lazer, pesquisa esta que se manifesta de formas diversas, entre instalações, vídeos, obras sonoras, desenho, pintura, fotografia e texto.
Priscila Fernandes é formada em Pintura pela National College of Art and Design de Dublin e pelo Mestrado de Belas Artes da Piet Zwart Institute de Roterdão. Foi artista residente na Künstlerhaus Bethanien em Berlim; IAPSIS, em Estocolmo; e no Irish Museum of Modern Art, em Dublin. Exposições recentes incluem “Incerteza Viva – 32ª Bienal de São Paulo” com a instalação “Gozolândia e Outros Futuros”; “The Book of Aesthetic Education of the Modern School” na Fundação Joan Miró, Barcelona; “Back to the sandbox: Art and Radical Pedagogy”, Museu de Arte de Reykjavik; “Playgrounds”, Museu Reina Sofia, Madrid; “PIGS”, Artium Basque Museum; “Learning for Life”, Henie-Onstad Kunstsenter, Oslo; “12 Contemporâneos”, Museu de Serralves, Porto; “Those bastards in caps come to have fun and relax by the seaside instead of continuing to work in the factory”, na TENT, em Roterdão; “O Que Eu Sou”, MAAT, em Lisboa; e “This is the time. This is the Record of the Time” no Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam. Em 2011 foi distinguida com o Prémio EDP Novos Artistas.
