Igor Jesus was born in 1989; he lives and works in Lisbon. He graduated in Sculpture from Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. In 2013 was the winner of the First place, ICA (Institute do Cinema e Audiovisual) contest to produce a short film.
Recently he presented the solo exhibitions The last letter to Santa Claus (2015) at Galeria Filomena Soares, and Under the Sun (2015) at Appleton Square, Lisbon. In 2014 he presented the exhibition Old School #32, Lisbon and, in 2013, Peso morto, Espaço Zero, Tomar.
Jesus has participated in several group shows in 2015: Um Horizonte de Proximidades, Arquipélago – Centro de Artes Contemporâneas, Ribeira Grande, São Miguel, Azores; ArteMar, Princípio Tautológico, Hangar – Centro de Investigação Artística, Lisbon; Obras da Coleção António Cachola, Centro de Arte Contemporânea Graça Morais, Bragança; The lynx knows no boundaries, Fondation d’Entrepise Ricard, Paris.
