Mané Pacheco

(Portalegre, 1978), lives and works in Lisbon. Mané Pacheco studied and worked as a conservationist before joining FBAUL, where she graduated in Multimedia Arts distinguished with a merit scholarship from the University of Lisbon and the BPI/FBAUL 2010 Award.
Both areas of training (art and environment) are manifested in a body of work that expands interdisciplinary and uses materiality and semiotics of objects to address biological, physiological and sociological aspects of the ecology of relations (of power).
Solo exhibitions from recente years include (‘Bestas’) at Galeria Francisco Fino, project ‘Belo Campo’; the Bienal Anozero’22 Meia-noite (’Criatura’); Walk&Talk Azores Festival 2021 (‘Pelágica’) and duo-exhibition at Balcony Gallery (‘Uma cobra naturalmente falsa’).
Her work has been exhibited at Culturgest Porto, Centro Internacional de Artes José de Guimarães, Espaço Fidelidade Arte, Arco Madrid 2022, Museu Colecção Berardo, Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, Museo Diego Rivera-Anahuacalli (MEX), Centro Cultural de España en México, among others.
